Business manager for Indoor Fun Center Amstelveen

GENERAL INFORMATION POSITION:
Business manager at Fun Center Amstelveen

The business manager, provides operational leadership for Fun Center Amstelveen. A business manager is responsible for all matters concerning business operations (personnel, products, services, laws and regulations, communication, administrative organization (cash remittance) and the company’s resources), has the necessary knowledge and knows how to apply it and improve it where necessary, so that it is aligned with the company’s objectives and the achievement of the company’s results.

What does the manager at Fun Center Amstelveen do?

  1. Provides leadership to employees.

You ensure that all activities in the company run smoothly. You have regular contact with the various employees. You have the overview and direction in the organization and know something about everything. You adhere to the policies and guidelines given to you by management. For example, regarding determining staffing levels, inventory management. You give instructions to staff. You are also the first point of contact for them. For example, if a repairman needs to be called or something is wrong with a delivery, they can come to you. In addition, you regularly consult with colleagues and your supervisor. You will consult on all matters concerning business operations: from akkefietjes to matters such as up-selling, cross-selling. All this to improve the operating result and the effectiveness, efficiency of Fun Center Amstelveen.

2. Managing financial records (Cash).

You will be responsible for cashiering and cash remittance for your shift. You ensure a balanced cabinet count. In addition, the day’s reservations should be properly checked both at the start and at checkout. Consider also the financial handling of parties and corporate events. You liaise with your supervisor regarding the administration organization and discuss cost and sales figures. In which you provide daily reporting to management of daily sales in the agreed manner.

3. Supervise staff

You will be responsible for motivating, supervising, correcting staff. If there are problems, for example an employee who often makes mistakes, talk to the person about it. Furthermore, you will support the recruitment and selection process.

4. Develop plans/policies

Because you have both feet in the business, you know exactly what’s going on. You have a lot of direct contact with customers and staff. This allows you to assess whether improvements are needed in a particular area. For example, whether major maintenance is needed at the trampoline park and how a certain measure can increase sales. You discuss your insights with your supervisor. You determine in consultation with them what services will be outsourced, for example promotion, ICT, et cetera.

5. Maintain contact with your customers

You regularly receive phone calls and visits from customers. You help them the best you can with orders, problems, complaints and other issues. Your duties also include increasing the number of returning customers and acquiring new customers. This could be through promotions, a mailing or a visit to a potential customer (“prospect”). You will also try to enhance the brand name of Fun Center Amstelveen by acting as an accessible and enthusiastic hostess.

6. Cleaning tasks

  1. Responsible for cleaning in and around the facility
  2. Cleaning up after customers and clean workplace.
  3. Wash glassware and utensils after each use.
  4. Ensures a clean workplace by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning glass doors and windows, etc. as needed.
  5. Ensures toiletries and supplies do not run out of stock
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned to him/her by the facility center manager

Key attributes/job requirements:

  • Minimum MBO working and thinking level, for example in the direction of hotel, facility or communication management.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as an all-round employee or manager in the entertainment, leisure or hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of social legislation, financial management and safety and prevention systems
  • You work results-oriented, come up with innovative ideas and always keep an eye on costs.
  • Organizing is really in your blood, as is smooth communication.
  • You have a positive attitude and can handle unforeseeable circumstances well.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
  • Stress resistant and accurate
  • Alert and decisive
  • Availability of own transportation
  • Living within a radius of no more than 30 minutes one way from the Fun Center Amstelveen
  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages both written and oral
  • Also available on weekends and holidays if the situation calls for it

What does Fun Center Amstelveen offer you?

  • The position is based on 32 hours per week, Evt. Part-time for a minimum of 24 hours
  • The contract is initially for 6 or 12 months, but with proven suitability and unchanged business conditions, contract extension is a possibility.

The shift leader, leads Fun Center Amstelveen during an agreed upon shift. A shift leader is the leader of the day. Fun Center Amstelveen is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Group Lessons Instructor for the Bootcamp Trampoline and our Trampoline Tricking classes (Tips & Tricks).

You will teach both children ages 8 and up who want to improve their trampoline skills and adults who want a fun energetic workout.

Tricking classes take place Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. and Bootcamp Trampoline on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 8 to 9 p.m.

Main responsibilities

  • Teaching

  • Teaching
